Subcutaneous Neurofibroma
A subcutaneous neurofibroma is a benign (non-cancerous) nerve sheath tumor that develops beneath the skin from the peripheral nerves. It is a type of Neurofibroma, commonly associated with **Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), though it can also occur sporadically.
These tumors grow slowly and are usually not dangerous, but they can sometimes cause discomfort or neurological symptoms depending on size and location.
